Proud day to be a dad

My son Hunter and I have not been able to get in the woods together as much as we would like this year. With football, baseball, wrestling and school his free time is very limited. He missed a buck with his bow and could not wait till muzzle loading season started. We were not able to get in the woods on Saturday due to football and the conference championship game. We lost 32 to 6 and he was really down because of this. I keep telling him to keep his head up and we would be in the woods tomorro… Continue

My favorite time of year is here. Man I cant wait till the 26th of Sep. Thats opening day of archery here in North central Florida. My good buddy Chad Thomas just checked our trail cameras and we have some studs that just showed up that we have never seen before. That brings the total to 5 mature shooter bucks. If that dont get the blood pumping nothing will.

This year I am trying to get my oldest son on a deer with his bow. He has been shooting and seems to be ready to give it a go this year.… Continue

Diary of a Scent Control Freak!!

The archery season for 2009 is right around the corner for most of us! We all have been shooting for the last few weeks or months trying to knock the summer rust off of our joints and bows at the same time hoping to hone our shooting skills. With every shot we think to ourselves this is it.....that's not a target, it's a 140" monster at 20 yards standing broadside, relax, squeeze the trigger, watch the arrow fly through both lungs, Thwack..YES!!! Smoked him!!! Well.....that's what I think anyway… Continue
